Mica Band Heaters

Mica band heaters provide a reliable and efficient heat source for applications involving temperatures up to 480 ºC. Argus Heating can design a mica band heater to suit your application.

  • Rugged construction which performs well under tough conditions.
  • One and two-piece bands available for easy installation and long operational life.
  • Wide selection of termination and clamping arrangements available.

Construction

  • Nickel-chrome resistance wire wound around mica insulation.
  • Built-in full width stainless steel band with screw clamp as standard (spring loaded or latch and trunnion clamping available on larger sizes).
  • Rust resistant steel sheath as standard, stainless steel or aluminium sheath available.
  • Stainless steel screw terminals or pre-wired with fibreglass sleeve, braided leads or armoured leads or IEC quick disconnect socket. Built-in Type K thermocouples available on request.
  • Custom design band heaters available on request.
